The school is certified by the Association Montessori Internationale, the organization founded by Dr. Maria Montessori herself, and the one to which people the world over look as maintaining the very highest standards of Montessori philosophical integrity and professional training. All teachers are trained by the AMI for the level at which they work, an intensive graduate training in child development, Montessori philosophy and curriculum. In addition, the school receives periodic and valuable AMI consultations.
The school is registered with the State of Oregon Department of Education as a private nonsectarian school, and belongs to the Oregon Federation of Independent Schools.
MSB is a member of the Oregon Montessori Association (OMA).
