After School

MSB's after-school enrichment gives students aged five and up a place to keep going after the last lesson of the day. This is enrichment, not just supervision. Each afternoon brings a different class taught by a visiting specialist, in activities such as creative writing, robotics, and electronic music. Choose the day that fits your child’s interests and schedule, and they stay with us until 4:30.

How it works
Enrichment runs every weekday, Monday through Friday, from dismissal until 4:30 pm. Each day of the week is a different class led by an outside provider, so the week reads like a menu: a child might write on Mondays and build robots on Wednesdays, or join all five days.

We offer enrichment in three sessions across the year, from the start of school to winter break, from winter break to spring break, and from spring break to the end of the year. Families re-register each session, so a child's afternoons can shift as their interests do.

A typical afternoon
When the school day ends, there's a supervised 15-minute window for snack and play before classes begin. Pack your child's snack with their lunch; we keep a backup on hand, in case it gets forgotten.

From there, children settle into the day's class with the visiting instructor and a familiar MSB staff member offering backup support, right through to the 4:30 pickup. It's the same idea that guides our classrooms: follow the child's interest, present a purposeful subject and a knowledgeable adult, and let them go deep.

How to sign up
Before each session, we send a preview email announcing the full lineup of classes and providers. About a week later, a second email arrives with the registration form. Choose the classes and days you'd like, and your child is set for the session.

Pricing varies by class, since each provider sets its own rate, and we account for no-school days in what you pay. Exact prices are listed alongside each session's lineup.
